More to Discover

The journey of discovery in life can be harsh sometimes.

Things don’t always go as planned.

For example, circumstances can cause us to lose those who are dear to us.

Maybe our body is not functioning as it was designed to.

Perhaps, others have entered, invaded and violated us in ways unimaginable.

Perhaps we find ourselves in places torn by violence, where we would never wish ourselves or others to be.

Perhaps a deal, contract or investment didn’t work out in our favour; it all went downhill.

Yet in all these there are more amazing things to discover.

There are precious bubbles of joy, precious gems of people, incredible beauty in creation, exciting doors of opportunities – there is a hope and a future.

Yes, there are times we will mourn, and yes, there are times we will laugh.

There are days when all we see is the darkness which surrounds us and there are days when we see the gift of life.

In all things, in all circumstances, Christ is our strength, our Chief comforter, our hope, our joy and our All in all.

Things don’t always go as planned in our journey of discovery.

Some discoveries are swords which cut deep into our core.

Some discoveries bring inexpressible joy.

Some discoveries teach us.

Most of all, some discoveries help us to realise that “all flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.”

Here is a word of comfort – though “the grass withers and the flower fades, the word of God stands forever.”

Life is a gift from God.

God will have the final say.

Hope in God.

Trust in God.

Rest in God.

He will perfect that which concerns His beloveds.

Whatever our discoveries may be in life, there is more to discover.
